Sergio Martinez of BoxingScene.com via Fox Sports has compiled one part of a list of must-see fights for 2006 - one of them including a potential slugfest between Scott Harrison and Joan Guzman. Both fighters have a history of standing back and throwing punches with little defense. Harrison is more keen to wearing down opponents with an array of body shots and blows to the head while Guzman sports a style that has earned him the rightful nickname of ‘Little Tyson’. The two featherweights are currently scheduled to meet in May in Belfast, Ireland.

One week after Joe Calzaghe defeated Jeff Lacy to win the IBF super-middleweight championship, Roy Jones Jr. has told a Great Britain radio station that he would be willing to take on Calzaghe in a July 8th bout in Wales. It would be Jones Jr.‘s first fight overseas since losing a controversial decision in the 1988 Olympics final in Seoul. Promotor Frank Warren has been reported to be seeking either Antonio Tarver or Jones Jr to take on Calzaghe this summer at Millenium Stadium.
