Mundine Stops Soliman to Win WBA Super Middleweight Belt

Anthony Mundine stopped fellow Aussie Sam Soliman in the 9th round of their bout last night, making him the new WBA Super Middleweight Champion.

Mundine sent Soliman to the canvas twice in the 9th round, forcing the referee to halt the match in the middle of the round.

These two met before - Mundine won a razor close split decision over Soliman in 2001, leading to a riot from the crowd who thought that Soliman unanimously won the bout.
