Enzo Maccarinelli knocked out Mark Hobson and defended his WBO Cruiserweight title in just 71 seconds on Saturday night. The punch landed directly on Hobson’s ear who attempted to return to his feet, only to lose his balance and fall down once again.
A victorious Enzo, now 25-1 (19KOs), said: “In March I rushed out and didn’t give him credit but this time I took my time. I knew it was a good shot. Now I want O’Neil Bell, Virgil Hill and Steve Cunningham. I’ll fight anyone.”
Randall Bailey won the vacant IBA Light-Welterweight championship on Friday night, stopping Shawn Gallegos in the 8th rounds. Bailey landed a number of unanswered rights, forcing the referee to halt the bout midway through the round.
