Jason Cintron Prepares for Ascension

Junior Welterweight prospect Jason Cintron, brother of IBF Welterweight Champion Kermit Cintron, is slated for a four round bout this Friday night in Lancaster PA.  The decorated and accomplished high school and college athlete is now 3-0 as pro and working with world renowned trainer Marshall Kauffman.  The opponent Friday night, Jason Jordan, is coming off of a win over a 16-4 fighter and will be a major step up in competition for the young, athletic boxer.

As a football, wrestling and track star in high school, Jason Cintron earned a significant amount of accolades, awards and records only his brother Kermit could even come close to.  Jason was a two time 1st team All American wrestler while setting records in take downs for a single season.  Jason set multiple records in track, and was a star defensive back for all 4 years of high school.  Cintron was also a starting defensive back for the two years he attended Thaddeus Stevens College.

While Team Cintron is looking to secure 8 fights in 2007, if Jason is successful in Lancaster this Friday night, he will be slated for a March 10 th bout on a card showcasing Marshall Kauffman’s stable.

Jason spoke on boxing and his abilities he feels will propel him through the rankings.  “As a fighter I bring a lot.  I train hard, and I am always willing to learn and try new techniques.  I’m an exciting fighter to watch and I have a couple different techniques.  I can switch stances, fight inside, and I can box.”

Jason continued, “For the fans out there that want to see an exciting, aggressive, well schooled fighter with more than just a one punch KO, then you need to come out and see me on Feb 23rd at the Lancaster PA Host Hotel and on March 10th of 2007 at the River Edge in Reading PA.”
