NEW YORK – One day before Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez renew their rivalry on Showtime Championship Boxing, America’s No. 1 Fight Network hits you with one of the most anticipated ShoBox fight cards of the new year. On Friday, February 29, IBF featherweight champion and ShoBox alum Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (21-1-1, 14 KOs) will defend his title against Jason “The American Boy” Litzau (23-1, 19 KOs) on Friday, Feb. 29, live on Showtime (Shobox: The New Generation, 11:00 p.m. ET/PT delayed on the west coast).
The Showtime event is being promoted by Goossen Tutor Promotions, LLC and will originate from the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, Calif. The amazing run of streaking, vastly improved Jesus “Chuy” Rodriguez continued in the co-feature when he won his eighth in a row with a convincing, unanimous eight-round decision over previously unbeaten Omri Lowther in a good-action junior welterweight match.

Walker and Butler: Both Knocked Down Klitschko; Both Fight April 6 on Showtime
NEW YORK – Travis Walker and Raphael Butler knocked down then-World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko during sparring in late 2005, according to trainer Dickie Wood.
Witnesses on those separate November days in 2005 have been reluctant to speak about the incidents at the gym formerly known as the La Brea Boxing Academy.
That is not the case with Wood.
“I was there the whole time, and I saw it all,” said Wood, who co-trains Walker and serves as the head trainer for Diego Corrales.
“He (Klitschko) was throwing a jab and he pulled back and was coming forward. Butler hit him with a right hand and Klitschko went down and his knee twisted underneath him. That was the last day of sparring. It was on a Friday, one week before the fight against Hasim Rahman on Nov. 12, 2005.
“The day before, Walker hit him with a body shot. It was a left hook to the body, and it knocked Klitschko down.”
Heavy-hitting heavyweights Walker and Butler co-headline Friday, April 6, 2007, on “ShoBox: The New Generation.” Showtime will air the doubleheader at 11 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the west coast).

One half of the popular Southern California-based “Bash Brothers,” Enrique Ornelas will face world-ranked Sam Soliman in the main event Friday, Nov. 17, on “ShoBox: The New Generation.” True to the “ShoBox” mantra, the 26-year-old Ornelas will take on his toughest opponent to date in a 10-round middleweight bout.
Also, in a battle of unbeaten heavyweights, the 2003 Golden Gloves champion Travis “Freight Train” Walker will battle the man who defeated him three times in the amateurs, 2004 United States Olympian Jason “Big Six” Estrada. The outstanding doubleheader at Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, Calif., will be presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions and air on SHOWTIME at 11 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the west coast).
Ornelas (25-2, 15 KOs), of Guanajuato, Mexico, has won five consecutive bouts, but has never faced anybody like Soliman. Ranked No. 4 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF), No. 6 by both the World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA), and No. 13 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Soliman (32-8, 13 KOs), of Melbourne, Australia, won the respect of the boxing world when he nearly upset former two-time world champion “Winky” Wright on Dec. 10, 2005.
Walker (21-0-1, 17 KOs), of Tallahassee, Fla., will attempt to turn the tables on Providence R.I.’s Estrada (7-0, 1 ND, 1 KO) when they meet in an eight-round match. One of the most decorated amateur heavyweight boxers in U.S. history, Estrada beat Walker the last time they fought at the 2004 U. S. Olympic Trials.
