Collazo to Undergo Surgery on Left Hand; Will Miss 4-6 Months
Luis Collazo will require surgery after suffering a fractured left thumb and ligament damage in his left hand during the second round of his recent loss to Shane Mosley last Saturday.
Collazo was taken to the hospital after the bout and received an x-ray that revealed the injuries. Collazo’s trainer, Nirmal Lorick said that his cilent will undergo surgery on February 22nd and will be out of action for 4-6 months…
“He didn’t complain to me in the corner after it happened,” Lorick said. “He just tapped his hand. I knew something was wrong. But Luis never complained. He just kept fighting. He’s got a lot of heart.”
