Golden Boy Signs Yet Another

Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions have made yet another transaction: the acquisition of former WBC Flyweight Champion Gerry Penalosa.

Penalosa signed the contract at De La Hoya’s office in downtown Los Angeles this past week. The contract is a seven-fight deal that will most likely get Penalosa a title shot in the near future.

Penalosa also announced that he will be managed by famous trainer Freddie Roach and the recently signed Manny Pacquiao, who made headlines last week in signing with Golden Boy over Bob Arum and Top Rank Inc.
